Refund & Return Policy

1. Overview

This Refund & Return Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for services purchased through the SolarBazaar platform. Since SolarBazaar is a digital marketplace (not a physical product store), this policy relates to vendor subscription plans and digital services only.


2. Subscription Refund Policy


Monthly Subscriptions:

  • Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has started.
  • If you cancel mid-cycle, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial or pro-rated refunds are issued.

  • Free Trial Period:

  • The 45-day free trial is completely free. No charges are applied during the trial.
  • If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment will be taken.
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will convert to the selected paid plan and the first charge will be applied.

  • 3. When Refunds May Be Considered

    Refunds may be issued at SolarBazaar's sole discretion in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate Charges: If you are charged twice for the same billing period due to a system error.
  • Service Unavailability: If the platform experiences prolonged downtime (more than 72 consecutive hours) that prevents you from using the vendor portal during a paid billing period.
  • Unauthorized Charges: If a charge was made without your authorization (subject to verification).

  • 4. How to Request a Refund

    To request a refund:

  • Email support@solarbazaar.io with the subject line "Refund Request".
  • Include your registered email address, subscription details, and the reason for the refund request.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge in question.
  • We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

  • 5. Refund Method

    Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method (PayFast). Please allow 7–10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account after approval.


    6. Non-Refundable Items

    The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Subscription fees for billing periods that have already started.
  • Charges where the vendor has actively used the portal during the billing period.
  • Any fees after the 14-day refund request window has passed.

  • 7. Returns Policy

    As SolarBazaar provides digital services (not physical products), there are no physical returns. Cancellation of a subscription is the equivalent of a "return" β€” your access continues until the end of the paid period and then stops.


    8. Marketplace Vendor Services

    SolarBazaar is not responsible for refunds related to services provided by independent vendors listed on the platform. Disputes about vendor services should be resolved directly with the vendor. If you need assistance, contact us at support@solarbazaar.io and we will attempt mediation.


    9. Changes to This Policy

    SolarBazaar reserves the right to modify this Refund & Return Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
