- Assuming rated power is what you will see. Real-world output at midday is typically 75–85% of the nameplate figure after temperature, soiling, wiring and inverter losses.
- Underestimating shade. A single shaded cell can suppress an entire string unless you use module-level optimisers or microinverters.
- Ignoring certification. IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 are the baseline; without them, warranty claims and grid approvals get complicated.
