Inox Clean Energy, a subsidiary of the INOXGFL Group, has completed the purchase of Vena Energy India for roughly $626.7m (Rs60bn). Vena Energy India functions as the local renewable energy arm of the Vena Group, which is owned by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a subsidiary of BlackRock.

The transaction was executed through Inox Neo Energies, a subsidiary of the buying firm, and reached completion two months after the initial binding accord was signed. Internal equity sources and refinancing measures provided the capital required to fund the purchase. Additionally, the administrative framework included shifting Vena Energy India's staff to Inox Clean Energy to maintain steady execution across commercial, technical, development, and operational operations.

Devansh Jain, executive director at INOXGFL Group, stated that the rapid closure highlights the organization's execution speed and competitive advantage. Jain noted that the group relies on over two decades of experience in the clean energy sector to identify targets and execute transactions with purpose and speed.

Vena Energy India brings an operational portfolio consisting of approximately 1GW of renewable energy infrastructure. The target business also oversees 1.7GW of solar and wind capacity alongside 1.2GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) assets in advanced phases of preparation.
