Overview

Commercial 3-phase 50kW & 100kW inverters. Precombined Version has a single DC input for central system design and use with external DC combiner boxes. The Tauro has 3 MPP Trackers and the Tauro Eco a single MPP Tracker. The stock model of this inverter includes: Multicore AC cable entry Type 1 + 2 integrated SPD (DC & AC) Other options are available to custom order, please contact us for further details. Made for Unprotected Outdoor areas The Fronius Tauro can be installed in an unprotected harsh environment. Thanks to the double wall front cover and the active cooling technology, the Fronius Tauro can be placed in direct sunlight and still produces best yield. BOS Cost Savings The AC Daisy Chaining option saves AC combiner boxes and cabling, therefore it significantly reduces BOS and installation costs of the roof-top or ground-mount system. Maximum yield The double wall and active cooling do not only guarantee high yields, but also protect components from high temperatures and hence extend the component‘s and the inverter‘s lifetime. Installation and system flexibility A spacious connecting area allows you to add various components without the need of additional boxes. The Fronius Tauro provides many opportunities. The inverter can be optimised in central and decentral system design and as well as mounted from vertically to horizontally. Integrated System monitoring Hardware and software for commercial system monitoring is included as standard with the Fronius Tauro. Third party components can also be integrated with the open interfaces on the inverter. Easy and Fast Servicing Thanks to advanced service technologies the Fronius Tauro can be maintained by one person only on-site, which not only saves time but also labour costs.

Reading the specifications

Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant is listed with 11 published specifications from Fronius, including MPN of 4,210,301, power rating of 50000W, MPPT trackers of 3 and phases of Three phase. Those figures are what decide whether this unit fits your system, so read them against the equipment it will connect to before comparing price.

For an inverter, the figures that matter most are continuous AC output in kW, which caps the load you can run at once, surge or peak rating, which covers the brief inrush of motors and compressors, maximum PV input and the number of MPPT trackers, which set how many panel strings you can connect and the MPPT voltage window, which decides how many panels go in a string. It is the component that decides what a solar system can do: how much power you can draw at once, whether you can export to the grid, whether the system keeps running in a blackout, and how well the panels and battery are managed day to day.

What to check before ordering

The checks below apply to any inverter. Run them against the specification table above — most disappointing solar purchases are compatible-on-paper units that fail one of these in practice.

  • Look at the warranty term and what it covers. Five years is the common baseline, ten is offered by stronger brands, and extensions are often cheaper bought with the unit than later.
  • Size the inverter against the loads you need to run simultaneously, not against the total wattage of every appliance in the building — a 5 kW inverter comfortably runs a fridge, fans, lights and a couple of ACs, but not all of them plus a water pump starting at the same time.
  • Keep the panel array between roughly 1.0 and 1.3 times the inverter's rating. Slight oversizing (a higher DC-to-AC ratio) captures more energy on cloudy mornings and winter days; going far beyond it wastes generation through clipping.
  • Check the surge rating if you run motors — deep-well pumps, compressors and older air conditioners can draw two to three times their running current for a few seconds at start-up.

Common mistakes

  • Buying on peak-watt price alone. A cheap inverter with a narrow MPPT window forces awkward string layouts and can strand a portion of the array.
  • Ignoring the ambient temperature rating. Inverters derate in heat, so a unit rated 5 kW at 25 °C may deliver noticeably less on a hot roof-adjacent wall at 45 °C.
  • Assuming any grid-tie inverter keeps the lights on during an outage. Standard on-grid units shut down for safety unless they have a dedicated backup or islanding output.

Price and availability in United Kingdom

Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant is listed at £ 6,312 (GBP) for United Kingdom. Solar pricing moves with supply, import duties and exchange rates, and distributors set their own margins, so treat this as a comparison reference and confirm the current figure before you order.

SolarBazaar compares equipment rather than selling it. Shortlist here on specification and price, then buy from an authorised distributor or installer in United Kingdom: warranty cover on solar hardware is normally honoured through the channel you bought from, so confirm who supports Fronius locally before ordering.

Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant — frequently asked questions

How much does Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant cost?

Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant is listed at £ 6,312 (GBP) for United Kingdom. The figure is indicative — solar prices move with supply, duties and exchange rates, and each distributor sets its own margin — so confirm the current price with a supplier before ordering.

What are the specifications of Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant?

We hold 11 published specifications for this inverter, including MPN 4,210,301, power rating 50000W, MPPT trackers 3, phases Three phase and connectivity Ethernet. The full table is on this page, listed under model FR-4.210.301.

Who makes Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant?

Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant is a Fronius product, listed under inverters with model reference FR-4.210.301. The Fronius brand page lists the rest of its range so you can compare across the catalogue.

Is Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant right for my system?

That depends on what it has to connect to. For an inverter, check continuous AC output in kW, which caps the load you can run at once, surge or peak rating, which covers the brief inrush of motors and compressors and maximum PV input and the number of MPPT trackers, which set how many panel strings you can connect against the rest of your equipment before price enters the decision. Keep the panel array between roughly 1.0 and 1.3 times the inverter's rating. Slight oversizing (a higher DC-to-AC ratio) captures more energy on cloudy mornings and winter days; going far beyond it wastes generation through clipping.

Where can I buy Fronius Tauro Precombined Variant in United Kingdom?

SolarBazaar lists and compares equipment rather than selling it. Use the specifications and price here to shortlist, then buy through an authorised distributor or installer in United Kingdom — buying in-channel is what keeps the manufacturer's warranty valid.
