Overview
The Victron Energy Quattro is similar to the MultiPlus in that they are both a combined inverter charger. However, the Quattro is able to accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to their active source. For example, it can be connected to shore side power and a generator or even two separate generators. It is also a true sine wave inverter boasts adaptive charging as well as many other features.
Another fantastic feature of the Quattro is the main output has no-break functionality. Therefore, in the event of a grid failure or similarly if the shore or generator power has been disconnected, the Quattro takes over the supply to the connected loads (in less than 20 milliseconds). Since this happens so fast your electronics like computers will continue to operate without disruption! The second output is live only when AC is available on one of the inputs of the Quattro. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as air-conditioning or a water heater can be connected to this output.
