The system is aimed at homeowners who want to add storage without tearing out the rooftop solar equipment they already use.
Sigenergy has launched the artificial intelligence-assisted SigenMate 2700 Ultra plug-and-play home battery in Germany, designed for residences with existing photovoltaic setups. The storage system allows homeowners to retain their current rooftop solar panels and microinverters while capturing surplus electricity.
The unit supports up to 4,000 watts of photovoltaic input and incorporates four maximum power point trackers, with each tracker managing two strings to optimize energy generation on complex or shaded roofs. On the alternating current side, standard grid-connected output settings offer 800 watts or 1,400 watts, alongside a 1,400-watt backup output for off-grid scenarios that can temporarily peak at 1,800 watts for up to 10 seconds to handle appliance startup demands.
Modular storage capacity starts at 2.688 kilowatt-hours and scales up to 18.8 kilowatt-hours using a single host combined with six modules. Parallel expansion further increases the total capacity to 56.4 kilowatt-hours, and the hardware is built for outdoor installation with weather-tolerance features for both high and low temperatures.
The system provides zero-millisecond backup functionality to maintain uninterrupted power for sensitive electronics during blackouts. Management of the device is handled through the mySigen application, which utilizes an artificial intelligence agent trained on data from over 30,000 operational systems across 47 countries to analyze weather forecasts, utility prices, and grid conditions.
Pre-orders are currently available in Germany via retail partners, Amazon, and Sigenergy's official store, featuring a promotional price of €999 excluding VAT through July 28, 2026, compared to the standard price of €1,199. Broader European Union pre-orders are slated to run from August 18 to August 31, 2026, with launch-period orders including a free three-phase Sigen Smart Meter.
