Overview

We are introducing our latest lithium battery, the iTECH54. Perfect for running a fridge and powering 12v appliances the iTECH054 goes where no lithium battery has gone before thanks to its slimline design.

100% of the iTECH54's capacity is usable. The internal BMS allows 54A continuous discharge. The iTECH54's internal BMS controls cell balancing, over and under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, thermal protection, and has over-discharge protection (safe mode).

The iTECH54 54Ah Lithium-ion is the equivalent to about 110Ah in lead-acid batteries (based on the standard depth of discharge of the iTECH54 (100%) and lead-acid battery (50%).

The iTECH54 weighs just 7kg the equivalent lead-acid battery weighs 27+kg.

The iTECH54 will charge up to 5x faster than lead-acid batteries. The iTECH54 can charge from just about all existing chargers with no extensive modifications required to existing systems.

The iTECH54 can cycle up to 5000 times at 50% depth of discharge. A lead-acid equivalent can cycle up to 500 times at a 50% depth of discharge. The iTECH54 has little to no self-discharge rate (≤2%), the battery can sit for long periods and will not go flat.

Designed and developed in Australia for use with caravans, camper trailers, motor homes, 4WD, boats, yachts, trucks and everything in-between. The iTECH54 will operate flawlessly in extreme heat and will handle heavy vibrations usually associated with corrugated roads.

Reading the specifications

Detailed specifications for iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah have not been published yet. iTechworld lists this battery in the Batteries, and we add fields as the manufacturer releases them — in the meantime, ask your distributor for the datasheet before ordering.

For a battery, the figures that matter most are round-trip efficiency, around 90–95% for lithium and 75–85% for lead-acid, communication protocol (CAN or RS485) for talking to the inverter, nominal capacity in ampere-hours (Ah) or kilowatt-hours (kWh) and usable capacity after depth of discharge — LiFePO4 typically allows 80–100%, lead-acid closer to 50%. Storage is what turns a solar array from a daytime bill-reducer into a system that covers evening loads and rides through outages. It is normally the single most expensive component, so sizing it correctly matters more than with any other part.

What to check before ordering

The checks below apply to any battery. Run them against the specification table above — most disappointing solar purchases are compatible-on-paper units that fail one of these in practice.

  • Size from your evening consumption. Add up what actually runs after sunset for the hours you want covered, then divide by the usable capacity per unit — that number, not the array size, sets how many batteries you need.
  • Check the continuous discharge rating against your inverter. A battery that stores plenty of energy but can only deliver 50 A cannot support a large inverter at full output.
  • Match voltage to the inverter, and confirm the battery appears on the inverter maker's supported list. Closed-loop communication lets the inverter respect the battery's real charge limits instead of guessing.
  • Read the warranty in full: lithium warranties are stated as a term plus either a cycle count or a total energy throughput, and whichever limit arrives first ends the cover.

What people get wrong

  • Mixing old and new batteries, or different chemistries, in one bank. The weakest unit drags the whole bank down and can be damaged by the others.
  • Sizing the bank for total daily consumption rather than after-dark consumption, which typically doubles the cost for no benefit.
  • Installing lithium packs in an unventilated, hot enclosure. Sustained high temperature is the fastest way to lose cycle life.

Price and availability in Australia

iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah is listed at A$ 299 (AUD) for Australia. Solar pricing moves with supply, import duties and exchange rates, and distributors set their own margins, so treat this as a comparison reference and confirm the current figure before you order.

SolarBazaar compares equipment rather than selling it. Shortlist here on specification and price, then buy from an authorised distributor or installer in Australia: warranty cover on solar hardware is normally honoured through the channel you bought from, so confirm who supports iTechworld locally before ordering.

iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah — frequently asked questions

How much does iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah cost?

iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah is listed at A$ 299 (AUD) for Australia. The figure is indicative — solar prices move with supply, duties and exchange rates, and each distributor sets its own margin — so confirm the current price with a supplier before ordering.

Who makes iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah?

iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah is a iTechworld product, listed under batteries with model reference 54. The iTechworld brand page lists the rest of its range so you can compare across the catalogue.

Is iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah right for my system?

That depends on what it has to connect to. For a battery, check round-trip efficiency, around 90–95% for lithium and 75–85% for lead-acid, communication protocol (CAN or RS485) for talking to the inverter and nominal capacity in ampere-hours (Ah) or kilowatt-hours (kWh) against the rest of your equipment before price enters the decision. Read the warranty in full: lithium warranties are stated as a term plus either a cycle count or a total energy throughput, and whichever limit arrives first ends the cover.

Where can I buy iTECH54 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 54Ah in Australia?

SolarBazaar lists and compares equipment rather than selling it. Use the specifications and price here to shortlist, then buy through an authorised distributor or installer in Australia — buying in-channel is what keeps the manufacturer's warranty valid.
