Overview

We are introducing our latest lithium battery, the iTECH24. This 24Ah lithium battery is the perfect drop-in replacement battery for a motorised golf buggy. iTECH24 can operate at 12v, 24v, 36v and even 48v through series connection.

100% of the iTECH24's capacity is usable. The internal BMS allows 25A continuous discharge. The iTECH24's internal BMS controls cell balancing, over and under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, thermal protection, and has over-discharge protection (safe mode).

The iTECH24 24Ah Lithium-ion is the equivalent to 48Ah in lead-acid batteries (based on the standard depth of discharge of the iTECH24 (100%) and lead-acid battery (50%).

The iTECH24 weighs just 2.8kg the equivalent lead-acid battery weighs 13+kg.

Our 24Ah lithium battery will charge up to 5x faster than lead-acid batteries. The iTECH24 can charge from just about all existing chargers with no extensive modifications required to existing systems.

The iTECH24 can cycle up to 5000 times at 50% depth of discharge. A lead-acid equivalent can cycle up to 500 times at a 50% depth of discharge. The iTECH24 has little to no self-discharge rate (≤2%), the battery can sit for long periods and will not go flat.

Designed and developed in Australia for use with caravans, camper trailers, motor homes, 4WD, boats, yachts, trucks, golf buggies and everything in-between. The iTechworld 24Ah lithium battery will operate flawlessly in extreme heat and will handle heavy vibrations usually associated with corrugated roads.

What these specifications mean

Detailed specifications for iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah have not been published yet. iTechworld lists this battery in the Batteries, and we add fields as the manufacturer releases them — in the meantime, ask your distributor for the datasheet before ordering.

For a battery, the figures that matter most are round-trip efficiency, around 90–95% for lithium and 75–85% for lead-acid, communication protocol (CAN or RS485) for talking to the inverter, nominal capacity in ampere-hours (Ah) or kilowatt-hours (kWh) and usable capacity after depth of discharge — LiFePO4 typically allows 80–100%, lead-acid closer to 50%. Storage is what turns a solar array from a daytime bill-reducer into a system that covers evening loads and rides through outages. It is normally the single most expensive component, so sizing it correctly matters more than with any other part.

What to check before ordering

The checks below apply to any battery. Run them against the specification table above — most disappointing solar purchases are compatible-on-paper units that fail one of these in practice.

  • Read the warranty in full: lithium warranties are stated as a term plus either a cycle count or a total energy throughput, and whichever limit arrives first ends the cover.
  • Leave room to expand. Packs that parallel cleanly let you add capacity later; ones that do not force a full replacement.
  • Compare usable kilowatt-hours, not nameplate capacity. A 100 Ah lead-acid battery at 12 V is nominally 1.2 kWh but only about 0.6 kWh is safely usable, while a 100 Ah LiFePO4 pack gives you roughly 1.0–1.2 kWh.
  • Size from your evening consumption. Add up what actually runs after sunset for the hours you want covered, then divide by the usable capacity per unit — that number, not the array size, sets how many batteries you need.

What people get wrong

  • Ignoring the charge current limit and pairing a large array with a small bank, which trips protection and shortens life.
  • Mixing old and new batteries, or different chemistries, in one bank. The weakest unit drags the whole bank down and can be damaged by the others.
  • Sizing the bank for total daily consumption rather than after-dark consumption, which typically doubles the cost for no benefit.

Price and availability in Australia

iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah is listed at A$ 249 (AUD) for Australia. Solar pricing moves with supply, import duties and exchange rates, and distributors set their own margins, so treat this as a comparison reference and confirm the current figure before you order.

SolarBazaar compares equipment rather than selling it. Shortlist here on specification and price, then buy from an authorised distributor or installer in Australia: warranty cover on solar hardware is normally honoured through the channel you bought from, so confirm who supports iTechworld locally before ordering.

iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah — frequently asked questions

How much does iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah cost?

iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah is listed at A$ 249 (AUD) for Australia. The figure is indicative — solar prices move with supply, duties and exchange rates, and each distributor sets its own margin — so confirm the current price with a supplier before ordering.

Who makes iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah?

iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah is a iTechworld product, listed under batteries with model reference 024. The iTechworld brand page lists the rest of its range so you can compare across the catalogue.

Is iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah right for my system?

That depends on what it has to connect to. For a battery, check continuous charge and discharge current, which limits how much power you can draw from the pack, cycle life at a stated depth of discharge, commonly 3,000–6,000 cycles for LiFePO4 and round-trip efficiency, around 90–95% for lithium and 75–85% for lead-acid against the rest of your equipment before price enters the decision. Leave room to expand. Packs that parallel cleanly let you add capacity later; ones that do not force a full replacement.

Where can I buy iTECH24 | Deep Cycle Lithium Battery | LiFePO4 24Ah in Australia?

SolarBazaar lists and compares equipment rather than selling it. Use the specifications and price here to shortlist, then buy through an authorised distributor or installer in Australia — buying in-channel is what keeps the manufacturer's warranty valid.
