## Start from your bill
Find your average monthly units (kWh) over a year and divide by 30 for daily consumption. Your system should generate roughly this much on an average day, adjusted for how much you want to offset.
## From units to panels
1. Daily use example: 900 units/month

÷ 30 = 30 kWh/day.
2. Peak sun hours in most of Pakistan: about 5 per day.
3. System size: 30 ÷ 5 = 6 kW of panels.
4. Panel count: 6,000 W ÷ 580 W ≈ 11 panels.
5. Inverter: size close to the array, e.g. a 6 kW inverter.
## Leave sensible headroom
Account for future load growth (an EV, more air-conditioning) and roof shading. Slightly oversizing panels relative to the inverter is common and often improves winter output.
